It seems that their could be a glimmer of hope for the public option. Posted on Talking Points Memo, it seems both sides of the Democratic party are taking a liking to this idea of a state wide decision to opt in or out of the program."Both conservative and liberal Democrats seem to be open to a new public option proposal floated by Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Tom Carper (D-DE) to allow states not to participate in the plan if they decide they don't want to."
I think that this is at least a step in the right direction. The public option is really the reform we need for healthcare, and the fact that its still fighting for approval continues to prove just that.
